Paraffin Wax Granules

A granulated palm wax which, when melted, can be applied to mask and restrict decoration in particular areas.
If you are using a lot of wax in your bisque firing please ensure that you go very slowy to 200C (less than 50 degress per hour) to burn off the wax before the flashpoint at 220C
The decorative material is then applied over the entire surface.
It will not adhere to the masked areas and the wax resist itself will fire away.
In order to protect your brushes and be able to clean them after using the wax - firstly thoroughly mix 50% Washing up liquid with 50% Olive Oil and work your brush into this mixture to lightly "coat" each hair in the brush. After using this brush to apply the wax your brush should wash out perfectly in water!
